The Glen Oban community was developed from a 200-acre farm bought by Samuel and Betty Ann Foster in 1946. The farm included a two-story stable with a silo, a milk house, a windmill with an engine shed, and three homes. Glen Oban expanded in 1970 and now the community consists of 83 homes and just a single road in and out. There are longtime residents, young families with children, and adults who grew up in Glen Oban only to return to raise their own children.
